Week 3: Houston Texans vs. New England Patriots

Sunday night the Houston Texans traveled to Foxboro to play the New England Patriots.  The Texans played well but still came out defeated 36-33.  The Texans threw for 292 yards and rushed for 125 while only scoring two offensive touchdowns.  Their defense played well against the run allowing the Patriots to rush for only 57 yards and no touchdowns and scoring a fumble recovery touchdown.  The Patriots still found ways to score even with the Texans shutting down their rushing attack.  They produced behind Tom Brady who threw for 378 yards and five touchdowns.  This win for the Patriots brings them to (2-1) on the season, while the Texans drop to (1-2).  The key players of the game were 1) Tom Brady (New England) who threw for 378 yards and five touchdowns, 2) Jadeveon Clowney who had six solo tackles all of which were solo, two sacks, two tackles for loss, and a fumble recover returned for a touchdown, and 3) Devin McCourty who had 10 tackles nine of which were solo.  The Patriots next week will host the Carolina Panthers as the Houston Texans will go on to face the Tennessee Titans in Houston.
