Week 2: Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos

This past Sunday the Dallas Cowboys traveled to Denver to take on the Denver Broncos and walked away in an embaressing 42-17 loss.  The Cowboys could never get much going offensively, Ezekiel Elliot was the most disappointing of all with only mustering 8 yards on 9 carries.  Meanwhile the Broncos continually marched down the field making the cowboys defense look like a Pop Warner football team.  Trevor Siemian led the broncos with 231 yards and three touchdowns.  The big take away from this game is that the Broncos can play on both sides of the ball now and for the cowboys, well they have work to do to figure out how to fix the problem with their offense.  The key players of the game were 1) Trevor Siemian (Denver) who had 231 passing yards and 4 touchdowns, 2) C.J. Anderson (Denver) who had 118 rushing yards and a touchdown, and 3) Von Miller who had 2 sacks, one of them occurring in a crucial drive in the fourth quarter.  The cowboys look on to next week where they will take on the Arizona Cardinals in Arizona next Monday night.  The cowboys keys to winning this game will be effectively rushing the ball,  protecting the quarterback better, and the defense will have to do better at forcing turnovers.  If the cowboys can successful complete these three goals they will have a real shot at winning the game.
